1897 - Miguel Burro Fleta, born in Albalate de Cinca, Huesca was an operatic tenor. Despite his short stage-career, lasting from 1919 to 1935 Fleta has been described as one of the most significant Iberian opera singers of the 20th century (d. 1938 in A Coruña)
1904 - Telesforo de Monzón y Ortiz de Urruela was a writer, politician and nationalist Basque leader. Monzón was an important leader of the Basque Nationalist Party during the Second Republic and the Spanish Civil War. After the end of the war, he was forced into exile for more than 40 years (d. March 9, 1981 in Bayonne France)

1933 - Francisco Romero Lopez, born in La Pañoleta, Sevilla is a bullfighter known as Curro Romero. He started his professional career at La Pañoleta, on August 22, 1954 
1939 - Ismael Fernández de la Cuesta, is a vocalist and musicologist specialising in Gregorian chant. Fernández de la Cuesta was born in the village of Neila, Burgos. He entered the Abbey of Santo Domingo de Silos at a young age
1941 - Jesús Moncada i Estruga was a narrator and translator. His work is a re-creation, somewhere between realism and fantasy, of the mythical past of the old town of Mequinenza - now submerged beneath the waters of the  river Ebro (d. 2005 in Barcelona)

1983 - Enrique Diosdado was an actor. He is sometimes credited as Enrique Alvarez Diosdado. Diosdado was a leading man of Argentine and Spanish films of the 1940's and 1950's. His daughter, Ana Diosdado, was a leading writer and playwright (b. May 6, 1910 Madrid)
