1808 - in Medina de Rioseco, in the framework of the War of Independence Hispaniola, the French army defeats the Spanish at the Battle of Moclín, or Medina de Rioseco.
1894 - in the Basque Country the Basque flag is hoisted in the first batzoki (headquarters) of EAJ / PNV.
2022 - Parliament backs law to entrench memory of Franco's victims, the bill was backed by 173 deputy votes, while 159 voted against and 14 abstained. It's the latest move by Pedro Sánchez to heal divisions and recognise Spain's history during the 1930s civil war and Franco's dictatorship until his death in 1975
2023 - The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine announced it will receive a mobile hospital and vehicles for the evacuation of the wounded as part of an aid package from Spain. Medical personnel of the State Border Guard Service is currently being trained at an air base near Zaragoza, Spain to deploy and operate the mobile hospital, the press statement said.
