1933 - The new political movement ‘Falange Española’ is founded by José Antonio Primo de Rivera, the son of General Miguel Primo de Rivera who led a coup d’état in 1923 and was then appointed Prime Minister by King Alfonso XIII. The General effectively governed the country in a military dictatorship until his resignation in 1930.
1989 - Spain's general elections are held the IV Legislature, winning the PSOE of Felipe González.
1991 - in Banyoles (Cataluña), the Haitian doctor Alphonse Arcelin denounces the display (in the Darder Museum) of Black Banyoles, the embalmed corpse of a Botswanan man of the San people (called pejoratively "Bushman"), which was exhibited from 1916. repatriation was allowed to Botswana in 2007.
